I Am History

Share our stories on social media:

I am history
People dress me in changing fashions
However, I should not be garbed in any viewpoint
But rather clothed in the naked truth.

How? When? Where? Who? Why?
These are the questions to be asked of me
And I should be answered in facts;
Plain and simple.

I should be a pillar of education
For it has been said
Those who cannot learn from me are doomed to repeat it:
The good, the bad and the ugly.

Teach me diligently to your children
And generation to generation
And the world will be a better place
If everyone is factually knowledgeable.

I was on a civil rights tour and was shocked about how history is told at different times by different people and sometimes totally changed or obliterated.
