To Market, To Market
First, there was Jack’s
a small heimische store
you knew almost everyone
when you walked in the door
Then they moved,
can you believe it
down the block to 7 Mile Lane?
and 7 Mile Market
became their new name
They had
lots more room
and sold lots more food
all of it kosher
and so,
it was “good”
Baltimore grew
and the people they came
so they moved yet again
and they kept the same name
So proud of our market
in Baltimore’s town
our community has grown,
and we are renown
We’re ever so grateful
to you, Hashem
for keeping us fed
again and again
To market, to market
to buy what we need
home again, home again
our families to feed
