A few weeks ago, when we left Costco in Owings Mills, my husband, Bruce, found the right front tire of our 2017 Cadillac to be extremely low in air. The tire pressure was 14. The other three tire pressures were between 29 and 31.

Upon looking closely at the tire, Bruce found a screw in it. We were attempting to go to a gas station, but were afraid to drive on it, with that low of a pressure. There, on the ground, we spotted a no-charge air pump at Lowe’s, next to Costco. He filled it so the pressure was 50, to allow for air to escape while driving to get help. We stopped at a gas station that did not have service on Sunday. Then, I spotted Mr. Tire, also in Owings Mills, across the street. We had to go up the road and around to get to it due to a median strip in the middle of Reisterstown Road.

The man working there said, “I’m not sure we can help you today as I only have one mechanic because it’s Sunday.” Still, he wanted to look at the tire. The car was backed up so he could find the screw.

We waited a few minutes and were told, “My mechanic can take a look at this so please give me your key.”

Before you knew it, our car was up on the lift. About 20 minutes later, it was off the lift and ready to drive us home. Normally, we ask for a price up front, but did not this time. I think it’s because we were so excited to get it fixed on Sunday and not have to have it towed.

When it was time to check out and the man said, “$1,000,000!

I said, “That’s a little steep especially since we recently retired.”

Then he said, “Half a million dollars.”

My answer was, “It is still way too expensive!”

The man presented the bill to us. My husband took out his credit card to pay the reasonable fee of $59.77. We thanked the kind man who was able to fit us in with his limited staff. The existing tire was saved with a plug and a patch. After that, we were on our way home!

Since we had such great service, I wrote a review similar to what I said above.
