Like A Lion
To sleep so deep
to dream to rest
is a source of blessing
a gift to refresh
So many mysteries
body and soul
hold me Hashem
don’t let me go
Please, as I sleep,
make me whole
If no sleep comes
I’ll toss and turn
I’ll drift and nod and sigh
I’ll find my peace
as always, happy to be alive
Later when I fall
into a wonderful nap
full of love,
I’ll awaken like a lion
with a yawn, a stretch
and a hug
