Even a broken heart still beats,
So that means it is still alive.
And yes, therefore, it will survive.
For your sakes, you must truly strive.
For a new love, try to subscribe
And magically you will thrive.
Although there is no guarantee,
Maybe true love, you will not find.
But you must still make up your mind.
Put past, thoughts and feelings behind.
History should not be enshrined.
Those are my true feelings opined.

The present, if you get my drift,
Is the now – take it as a gift.
For if not, you will be adrift.
Start today, and be oh so swift
For your feelings now need a lift.
And how is this hardest part done
Even if true love takes awhile?
The very first step is a smile
To start you on your first new mile.
Look better with this new self style
You might just need a bit of guile.
This would be the most portable.
It says you’re happy on your own.
Even if you’re hurt, you have grown.
Now you’re open to the unknown
And still good being less alone
With nary a sniffle nor a moan.
