Gratitude | Hinda Blum | Nature | Poetry | Seasons
Spring is that you?
Spring,
is that you?
The warmth I feel
from the sun
the clear sky,
lounging on my porch
with no mittens
no hat
no heavy coat,
to keep the cold away?
So nice and peaceful
some relief from the cold.
But…
is this just a tease,
Spring?
Are you teasing us?
And you,
Winter,
will you return
with your cold,
icy darkness
that robs me
of warmth?
Yes,
it is a taste
of spring
glorious to behold.
After all, it is February
and we need these little
bursts of sunshine
to keep us going
and warm the soul.
