What’s the Color of Hate?
What’s the color of hate?
It’s the color of blood.
And it’s deep in the vein.
It’s no good and there is no gain.

What’s the color of hate?
It’s the color of fire.
Nothing is left but ash.
It conspires to burn the past.

What’s the color of hate?
It’s the color of night.
And no light’s ever seen
It makes one cold; it makes one mean.

What’s the color of hate?
It’s the color of stone.
And when it starts its path
It gathers others in its wrath.

Whatever its color, hate is the one thing to hate.
