29th Anniversary Poem

Share our stories on social media:

For thirty years,
maybe more,

I’ve been writing
poems galore.

I wrote of how we met
by chance

and later of our
Kitchen Dance.

I wrote you are my
“Better Half” you see,

bringing out the
Best of Me.

I asked one time
“Who am I

to be loved by such
a special guy?”

I wrote of travels
and adventure,

how you give advice but
Never Lecture!

I wrote how you’re
my destiny.

and again as you
turned eighty.

I wrote that cancer
made you sick

and how our love
would survive it.

I wrote that you’re my
earth and moon

and even now you
make me swoon.

Honey, after
all this time

I’m so glad that
you’re still mine!

  1. Thank you for loving my dad with all of your heart. I am so glad you both found such a great love. I love you so much!

    1. Thx Ellen, we both feel so lucky to have found each other late in life after 2 failed marriages for both of us.
